Volume1

Theme :
Goddesses from Asia & the Pacific

Windows to ICH provides an introduction to examples of intangible cultural heritage practices from countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region related to a chosen theme. This issue looks at representations and practices related to goddesses. Often times, goddesses are inextricably linked to culture in the form of legends and beliefs that inform present-day cultural practices.
In this issue, we present examples from Vietnam, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea and Mongolia.
